I have always wanted to find a vhs copy (or DVD) of the daytime serial that ran from 1951 - 1952. I still haven't found a copy, but here's a link to the IMDB page about the show.

Debbie, I tried years ago to see if there was a copy available but, both the network and the Broadcasters museum didn't have copies. They said that some shows were done live and no film or, kiniscope was made.

It wasn't done live, I don't think, but it's true not all programs were kept. Such a shame!

I did find this website which indicates that there were 237, 15 minute episodes! There is also a small "title card" which may have been at the beginning of the show.

This 2nd links gives a little more history of the show and indication that it was a ratings winner at the time. Also indicating the "Betty MacDonald" character was played by 2 different actresses which is not indicated on the IMDB

Thanks, Dagwood! I have long been curious about the TV serial. At the time, it was very highly rated!
